Ha ha... I really am just kidding but am sort of serious. Once I started telling people that I am with bebe... I have found out that 2 other people at work are too... what a co-ink-e-dink! My one friend J is one week further along than I am and another, L, is 3 week further along. I guess people were knocking uglies in May is the answer!!! I love it... at one point I was pregnant with my friend Wendy and was so excited to be able to share the play-by-play with someone I knew. Books are fine to refer to, but the real deal is so much more fun. Sadly that one did not work out for me, but it looks like I have a second chance! Granted, these are work friends, so again, good but not as good. I don't think J or L would appreciate a call on Saturday morning to bitch about nausea! I'll keep it to PC-Corporate-Appropriate banter with these two.
I recently went to a shower for my friend Naomi... (this one's for you girl!)... it was on one of the hottest days of the summer and we were all baking out there in the sun. Anyway... Naomi looked like the picture-perfect pregnant girl. Tall and thin with a "ball" stuck to her. Lucky. I am going to get as big as a house. I know it. I don't care though... I will have the rest of my life to worry about losing weight. Anyway... my point is that there were 4 pregnant people there and I thought it was hilarious. I don't know why I was getting such a kick out of it... maybe it's the hormones... but I thought it was funny. This one girl was 22 weeks along and you couldn't even tell. WTF??? That bebe is going to be miniature!
I've heard somewhere that we are in the midst of another baby boom... I wonder if it's true. Maybe it's b/c of the war? Global warming? Who knows... I should probably buy stock in Babies-R-Us.
